Turnaround Unit In-charge / Night (MM-448)

Job Description:
ASIAPOWER OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 6.30 PM (MONDAY TO SATURDAY)

-B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10 to 15 years experience in Refinery / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Projects.
-Gulf experience in EPC / Korean Companies preferred.
-Unit In charge is a key position who ensures that all the Site works are timely and safely executed.
-Should be trained on the Work Permit Performer course conducted by COMPANY.
-Should be aware of the ‘Permit to Work’ procedure.
-Should be aware of all the permits required for safe execution of the job. 
-Prepare the various Work Permits prior to the Turnaround as per the work scope requirements :
-Cold Work Permit (CW) for Isolation, Man way opening and Ventilation 
-Cold Work Permit (CW) based on the work scope  
-Hot Work Permit (HW) based on the work scope
-Confined Space Work Permit (CS) based on the work scope
-Should be aware of the QA/QC requirements for each of the equipment.
-Should be fully aware of the scope in his unit(s).
-Should be aware of the job sequence (level 4) for each of the equipment.
-Should be aware of the Flange Assembly Tightening Record (FTR) requirements, list down all the flanges relevant to his work package, fill-in the required details in the FTR documents during pre-Turnaround and ensure that the FTR requirements are compiled and FTR records are duly maintained by his Supervisors (or Bolt torqueing/tensioning Supervisors) during the execution of Turnaround.   
-Should be aware of all JSA/FRAs applicable for his scope.
-Should receive permits for all works and ensure all JSA/FRAs are available inside container.
-Should ensure that all the permits are kept on the Permit box and the respective permit boxes are to be placed closer to the respective equipment work areas.
-Should extend permits as required to ensure job continuity with minimum idle time.
-Responsible for any permit violation.
-Guide his supervisors with regard to the work sequence.
-Ensure his area Inspection coordinator is closely following up the QA/QC requirement for each of the equipment.
-Ensure all the relevant work stages are offered to COMPANY personnel and the stage-wise approval is received on the box-up certificate from the concerned Department.
-Proactively ensure the availability of all the spares and materials for each of the equipment.
-Ensure that the right gaskets and materials are used in his area/equipment.
-Shall have a list of spares required for all his equipment to be inspected.
-Shall be responsible for withdrawing the right material from Contractor’s material container.
-Ensure that all gaskets and COMPANY’S materials are stored properly at site after withdrawal from the material store container.
-Responsible for any damage to spares noticed at site.
-Ensure “fit to use” scaffolding tagging is available where applicable.
-Ensure proper housekeeping in his area.
-Constantly be in touch with his Supervisors ensuring job safety and progress at all time.
-Ensure all the safety watches in his area are vigilant.
-Ensure that safety talks are given by his supervisor to his crew on a daily basis.
-Shall instruct his supervisor with regard to the JSA/FRA applicable for the job.
-Shall apply for road closure permits if any equipment or crane or work is obstructing flow of traffic in that road.
-Should be aware of roads that need road closure permits if obstruction is foreseen.
-Handover his jobs to the night shift in-charge with key instruction. 
-Ensure that fin-fan hydro-jetting is done without water spillage to the ground. 
-Should be available at his area till the final housekeeping, insulation fixing etc. is completed and get the area handover certificate from COMPANY operation.
-Coordinate his works with other contractors work so that there is no conflict and delay
-Ensure that all materials for his unit are withdrawn ahead of time and store adequately and used correctly in the respective equipment during Turnaround. Any material not utilized to be communicated to COMPANY representative.
-Shall ensure that all the sub-contractors for his unit are available, when the work front is available.
-Any repeat works done due to the inadequate quality and improper handling / execution done will be accountable to the Unit In-charge.
-All Inspection Work Lists (IWLs) issued against equipment in the unit shall be immediately, effectively and safely implemented after obtaining necessary approvals. Any discrepancy on the same should be brought immediately to the notice of COMPANY representative.
-Ensure IWLs are quantified, feedbacks given and the approvals received from the   Planning Dept. before starting of work.
-Ensure safe working practices are employed at his area.
