Job Description:

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: (Degree, training, or certification required)
-Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred, with extended education and experience in the expertise area.
-Manufacturing Experience (Technical engineering, Maintenance Management, Reliability and Project Management).

Minimum Experience: (Technical, functional, and/or leadership experience required)
-At least 15 years of experience with at least 7 years in Petrochemical and Oil and Gas industry.
-Global expert on, electrical equipment and projects (broad and in depth) as demonstrated by significant accomplishments and contributions acquired over a period of minimum 15 years as an Electrical Engineer (BS/MS).
-Experience areas shall include technical design, implementation, testing/commissioning, start-up, maintenance, condition monitoring, sustainability, trouble shooting and failure analysing with specific interest in Electrical Power Distribution area of expertise.
-Proven Experience on project execution (testing/commissioning), operation and maintenance related to:
-Electrical Power Distribution technology and related global industry standards and practices (NEMA, IEEE, IEC) for hazardous areas.
-(Design) Studies on Electrical Power Distribution equipment types selection with knowledge readily available for both High Voltage and Low Voltage. .
-Specification development and safety/cost/benefit analysis and selection criteria for Electrical Power Distribution systems.
-Equipment characteristics of global operating manufacturers of Electrical Power Distribution systems
-Degradation and failure mechanisms of Electrical Power Distribution equipment.
-Condition monitoring techniques/statistics and analysis of monitoring results.
-Experience of people management and ability to use influence to achieve results. 
-Flexible and able to re-prioritize tasks based on changing business need.
-Desire and ability to self-teach new software programs or system.

-Knowledge of petrochemicals Electrical Power Distribution equipment engineering.
-Contribution to RCA on expertise area failures.
-Knowledge on testing of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment during FAT as well as after repair.
-FMEA review of equipment in relevant areas of expertise.
-Development of company standards on relevant areas of expertise.
-Participation in international conferences and publishing of papers in relevant areas of expertise. Preferred participation in (inter)national standardization committee(s)
-Coaching of engineers to bring them to master level
-Proficient in MS Office® applications (with advanced knowledge of MS Excel®).

Job Purpose:
The role  operates as a Global Engineering expert as part of the Electrical Systems  team within the Electrical and Automation department of Asset Technology Centre, with the purpose to drive Manufacturing vision  for fostering continuous improvement in reducing operational risks, increasing revenue and optimizing cost across all SABIC sites worldwide, through:
-Expertise deployment for Electrical Power Distribution solutions & improvements
-Development and deployment of world class practices and functional expertise
-Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities through internal and external networks, systems, benchmarks and assessments
-Networking & knowledge management and providing training

Key Accountabilities:
Technical Leadership
-Identify, evaluate and recommend improvement needs for electrical power distribution aspects.
-Identify, evaluate and develop Sabic Manufacturing Standards (SMS) related to Electrical Power Distribution. 
-Identify, evaluate and develop engineering Best Practices (BP) related to Electrical Power Distribution. 
-Ensure timely review for SABIC Engineering Standards (SES) for Electrical Power Distribution Equipment and Engineering. 
-Monitor the market for new ideas, innovations and identify novel solutions for improving Electrical Power Distribution within SABIC.
-Engage with key OEMs to address design issues affecting asset reliability and to maintain knowledge of upcoming technological improvements.
-Lead/participate in Electrical Power Distribution Expert Group.
-Lead technical global initiatives/project in his area of expertise.

Strategy and Planning
-Support Electrical Systems Lead to develop and manage the Electrical Power Distribution annual and five-year work plans with specific deliverables for this area of expertise.
-Conduct regular Performance Killer analysis based on actual prodiction loss data and RCA's to generate Resolution Plans (PKRP) that recommend specific actions to mitigate common failure modes.

Technical Support and Engagement
-Provides technical support to the Electrical Power distribution Expert group.
-Evaluates Electrical Power Distribution condition monitoring techniques (PD, DGA, etc.)
-Evaluate outputs of study, compare with observed behavior and offer resolution to Electrical Power Distribution issues.
-Work with Regional Asset Support (RAS) team by providing technical support & consultation to resolve chronic failures/issues at sites globally. 
-Support SABIC Manufacturing in technical audits/assessments/cold eye reviews and remaining life assessment initiatives.
-Participate in equipment failure analysis and support RCA of actual/potential incidents with C1/C2 classifications.
-Provide expert knowledge on safety and reliability related programs applicable to SABIC OMS.

Knowledge and Network Management
-Communicate critical business cases in the form of Technical Alerts (TA) and High Value Learning from Incidents (HVLI) to Global Manufacturing.
-Lead internal and participate in and/or lead external technical networks, forums, conferences and committees that have considerable Electrical Power Distribution content.
-Manage the Electrical Power Distribution Expert Group ensuring adherence to Operating Rhythm Charter for Networking and Knowledge sharing.
-Assure the change management of developed SMS's, solutions and recommendations

Competency Development, Mentoring and Coaching
-Develop and delivery of specialized, quality training to SABIC manufacturing engineers globally.  
-Develop, maintain and retain top-quality electrical safety expertise by effective training, mentoring and coaching.
