KEY RESULT AREAS
-Install, operate, maintain, and repair the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment for any structure. Specialized in maintenance and repair.
-After installation, HVAC mechanics must make sure the system is operating properly by conducting a series of equipment tests. They are also responsible for disposing and recycling any chemical byproducts of the HVAC system.
-To run efficiently, HVAC mechanics perform tasks such as replacing filters, ducts, and other components that collect dust and other waste during use. They have to be able to diagnose and repair any problems that have arisen with the HVAC system.
-In order to perform their jobs efficiently, HVAC mechanics must be familiar with these tools, as well as the many electric and mechanical elements that make up an HVAC system. Specific equipment includes hammers, wrenches, electric drills, pipe cutters, metal cutters, benders, thermometers, pressure gauges, manometers, acetylene torches, volt meters and welding equipments
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
-Diploma/ Certificate in Mechanical / heavy equipment repair/ engines/ computer systems/ hydraulics…
-Minimum 5 to 6 years experience training and practical experience to become a HVAC mechanic
-Must have a good knowledge of one or two train sub- systems such as Brake system, traction, TCMS, etc.
-Able to read schematic and drawings
-Fast learner and able to understand the train functionality
-Able to work on shift rotation
-Able to speak English
