JOB PURPOSE:
-To set-up, operate and machine jobs on CNC Milling machine as per plan.
-To check and validate the completed jobs as per drawing
-To maintain the machines, equipment / accessories and instruments.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
-ITI – Machinist 4 to 6 years experience / ITI – Fitter with minimum 4 to 6 years experience / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 to 6 years experience.
-Knowledge and skill of CNC milling process
-Fair ability to read, write and speak in English.
-Tool-room experience
Proficiency:
-CNC Milling Machine - Machine operation, tools, accessories, CNC milling process
-Engineering drawing - Study and interpret to determine dimensions, tolerances and surface finish of finished parts.
-Job preparation - Check incoming job, plan sequence of operation and set-up requirements
-Job setting - Clamping & referencing
-Machine and equipment maintenance - Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions.
-Using precision measuring instruments - Use of calipers, ID and OD micrometers, bore/depth gages, dial indicators and report conformance status.
Knowledge:
-Machine programming - Program independently for simple 2D operations using in-built cycles
-Machine control - HEIDENHAIN, RODERS
-Molds and Press Tools - Function and importance of parts
-Machining parameters - Terms and basic formulae Basic mathematics skill
-Cutting tools - Right selection, types of Tool holders and cutting tools, tool pre-setting
-CAM programming - Powermill (Delcam)
-Job holding equipment – EROWA
Capability:
-Documentation - Production records (Daily Time sheet, process sheet, Inspection report, daily PM chart)
-Communication - With concerned for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
-5S - Maintain 5S and good housekeeping
-Follow instructions - Oral and/or written
-Adapt to work requirements - Due to changing work environment, competing demands, emergencies
-Continuous improvement - Suggest and implement
