OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
This position is responsible for carrying out field tests of all pavement materials (asphalt, ABC, GSB, soil) and concrete. The Lab Technician is responsible for collecting samples and testing them to ensure that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project’s contractual requirements, and maintains the standard of excellence established by us.
Required Education, Training, and Experience
B.Sc / Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 years experience in testing of asphalt, concrete, and soil works. [A candidate should have at least two out of the three, e.g. asphalt and concrete]
Skills Required
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Quality control testing and inspection experience for pavement layers and cast-in-place concrete structures.
-Ability to work with and communicate effectively with superiors, superintendents, and engineering staff.
-The duties listed above are not all inclusive. The Lab Technician will follow other instructions and perform other related duties as requested by the Materials Engineer, the Head of the QA/QC Department and the current project's Project Manager.
Duties
-Carrying out of field tests as per the requirements of the Contract specification and the Contractor's established QA/QC testing plan.
Ensure all work meets or exceeds the contract specifications and standard of excellence of STRABAG.
-Ensure all materials meet or exceed the contract specifications.
-To be able to document, monitor, track, and submit laboratory data.
-Monitor daily construction activities and materials delivered to the site.
-Document all inspection and testing in material testing forms.
