Role
-Provide post contract management "quantity surveying services" in oil and gas industry that include: engineering, construction, operation & maintenance contracts.
-Post-contract management activities will include but not be limited to the followings:
-Preparing the monthly valuations and final accounts against contract terms and conditions including site visits to carry out measurements.
-Establishment of star rates, providing commercial/ contractual site info in his preparation of Variations to Contract and evaluating price escalations of materials.
-Evaluating claims submitted by sub-contractors.
-Inputting payments in Company SAP system that includes creating service entries and technical release.
-Laising and providing commercial / contractual awareness to other disciplines (Engineering, Operation, Maintenance, etc) when required.
-The type of contracts you will work on will include but not be limited to the followings:
-Shall report directly to the contract manager.
Qualification
Should have a QS degree and would be an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Recognized Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
Experience
Shall also have more than 10 years post qualification experience (in design, civil, mechanical, electrical & instrumentation service contracts) in the oil and gas industries with at least 5 years in a senior QS position preferably in an oil and gas industry.
Personal
Energetic person who is self starting, takes initiatives, has a high degree of personal integrity, high standard of business ethics, good commercial acumen with adequate computer skills (familiar with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel as a minimum).
Principal Accountabilities
-Provide governance for the overall SAP input to all QS
-Ensure that dealings with Subcontractors and Vendors during the engagement and subsequent relationships are fair, transparent and in accordance with business principles of the joint venture,
-Ensure fair and equitable dealings especially with Omani local Community Contractors (LCCs).
