MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To supervise cost and scheduling activities at project locations; supports contract administration activities.
JOB OBJECTIVES
-To define project / project area needs for cost control in accordance with company procedures and client contractual requirements.
-To supervise the competent performance of cost control activities and timely issue of reports.
-To define project / project area needs for schedule development, maintenance and monitoring in accordance with company procedures and client contract requirements.
-To supervise the competent performance of schedule development, maintenance, monitoring and analysis activities and timely issue of reports.
-To prepare, coordinate and supervise cost and scheduling presentations to company and client management as required.
-To supervise and be responsible for the development and accuracy of cost and schedule reports. To verify consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility.
-To be responsible for preparing reports required by company management and project procedures.
-To monitor project activities against contract scope of work, prepares additional work cost estimates.
-To prepare and coordinate the development of staffing plans for cost and scheduling activities.
-To perform personnel performance reviews and career counseling and ensure that applicable training objectives for personnel are met.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
-Bachelor Degree in Engineering
-Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in project controls for contracting industry operations
-Can act in stand-alone position on small projects; or can act as an area team supervisor on very large multi area projects
-Candidates who have experience in Infrastructure projects and Waste Water Treatment Plant Construction Projects.
-Experience and demonstrated skill in supervising, performing and presenting cost control and analysis, schedule development, control and analysis, and overall project reporting activities
-Experience in identifying, organizing and assigning personnel to cost/schedule work activities.
-Experience in monitoring, reviewing and completing activities according to previously defined priorities
-Skilled in supervision of technical and non-technical personnel
-Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated skill to present planning and scheduling and cost information to company management and client representatives
-Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing and solving problems. Technical knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction techniques. Knowledgeable of current industry and technical developments
-Proven track record with recognized international standard companies, particularly in Middle East operations and projects
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of English
-Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner
-Supervision level experience in the field of project controls
-Computer literate especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access Primavera P6 and ERP.
