COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE OF FIRE & GAS DETECTION SYSTEM IN SOUTH, EAST, EXPORT AND MARINE OPERATIONS AREAS PROJECTS
JOB DESCRIPTION
-Performs and/or directs maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic and electronic instruments and control systems including microprocessor/PLC based systems yes Triplex / GeFanuc / Simplex / Allen Bradley / PLC's, DCS's, ESD systems, Detronics / General Monitor based fire and gas monitoring and protection system.
-Diagnoses problems or potential problems with control systems - pneumatic, electronic, Fire & Gas and DCS / PLC related.
-Performs preventive maintenance on instrument control systems and Fire & Gas Detection Systems.
-Carry out instrument repair and test work.
-Reports the events and the activities to the concerned supervisor In terms of manpower / spares utilised.
-Repairs defects of all instruments such as Fire detection, H2S detection, Gas detection, C02 system, deluge systems, transmitters, controllers, recorders, protective switches, etc.
-Control Room modification activities like replacement and additional work on Fire detection System.
SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Qualification
-Have Secondary School plus (2) years-technical training or diploma or equivalent.
-Have five (5) years experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of pneumatic, Fire & Gas and electronic control systems.
-Have the skill to check, calibrate and repair Fire & Gas Instruments electronic instruments and controls and protective interlocks.
-Be able to complete assigned jobs without direct supervision.
Exposure of the following :-
-PLC such as ICX Triplex,AlIen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Omron, etc.
-DCS's such as Emmerson Delta-V, I Foxboro Invensys I Honeywell TDC3000 etc.
-Calibration of Fire & Gas detectors, Instrument loop diagram, wiring diagram etc.
-Be able to speak, read and write English.
