Role & Responsibility
Inventory Management: Material Controllers are responsible for monitoring and managing inventory levels of construction materials. This includes tracking stock levels, ensuring that materials are stored properly, and conducting regular audits to maintain accuracy in inventory records.
Procurement Coordination: They coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials. This involves negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring that all materials meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Receiving and Inspection: Upon delivery, Material Controllers oversee the receiving process, which includes inspecting materials for quality and compliance with specifications. They ensure that all received materials are documented accurately and stored in designated areas.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions and preparing reports on material usage and inventory status is a critical function. This documentation supports decision-making and helps identify trends in material consumption.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Material Controllers work closely with various departments, including production, engineering, and logistics, to ensure that material availability aligns with project schedules. They facilitate communication between teams to address any material shortages or discrepancies promptly.
Requirement Qualification
-Minimum 2 years Course or Bachelor's degree or equivalent
-Mechanical or Materials Engineering background preferred
-Minimum 3 or more years of work experience as Mechanical Construction Engineer
-Be able to read, write and speak English language
