The responsibilities of the SENIOR VMware ADMINISTRATOR will primarily include:
-Administering VMware Infrastructure. Configuring and managing VMware technologies like vMotion, Storage vMotion, HA, FT, DRS, SDRS, RDM. Deploy, manage, and migrate virtual machines.
-Administering Windows Servers. Worked on Windows 2003, 2008, 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012.
-Manage Windows Server Clustering, ADDS, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, HS, NLB, etc.
-Familiar with AMM, CMM, IMM, Firewall, Networking, Storage, SAN, NAS and Monitoring and Management.
-Support Active Directory, Exchange, OCS, BES, Symantec Enterprise Vault.
-Works with Service Owners, deployment & support teams to effectively deliver, manage and support relevant services.
-Conducted in-house training classes for the IT Support team on IT Services (Vmware).
-Meet with vendors, coordinate with different business groups, conduct POCs to analysis/evaluate new products & solutions based on business requirements.
-Helping the management in decision making by providing technical analysis and evaluation reports.
The SENIOR VMware ADMINISTRATOR shall possess a minimum of:
-Bachelor or Masters degree in a relevant course of study (e.g. computer information systems, computer information technology, Computer Science).
-Must have 5 years overall related IT experience
-Must have 3 years of hands-on experience in managing Backup technologies such as Tivoli, NetBackup, etc.
-Good analytical and IT skills.
-VMware Certified Professional 5 — Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV)
-VMware Certified Associate - Data Center Virtualization
-VMware Certified Associate — Cloud
-Preferred bilingual with English and Arabic speaking, reading and writing skills.
